Former Caps General Manager George McPhee returned to Verizon Center Monday night to scout the game between Washington and Carolina.

He was immediately given a warm reception by Caps Twitter.

Those circled letters spell ERAT. Okay, that’s really clever, Danny.

As you’ll recall, McPhee traded Filip Forsberg, whom Nicklas Backstrom recently compared to Alex Ovechkin, to the Predators for Marty E. and Michael Latta.

Good times.
