On Thursday, Capitals players Andre Burakovsky, Tom Wilson, Taylor Chorney, and Nate Schmidt debuted what appear to be the team’s shirts for this year’s training camp.
You know Barry Trotz (or someone on his staff) came up with this because they are valuing an intangible over talent. Don’t even get me started on that. It’s cool, whatever.

During last year’s playoff run, the Caps wore “ENTITLED TO NOTHING” concert-style t-shirts. They also wore “Strength, Discipline, Structure” shirts during the 2015-16 season’s training camp and a latin version of that tee during the 2016 Development Camp.
Those gimmicks haven’t worked yet — the Capitals recently lost every game of the South Florida Rookie Tournament — which leads me to think winning the Stanley Cup does indeed require skill. But that’s just me.
