Evgeny Kuznetsov goes coast-to-coast to score first World Cup of Hockey goal

All of a sudden, Team Russia doesn’t look like an utter wreck. Down one goal entering the second period, the Russians exploded for four goals, one of which was a peach by your fave, Evgeny Kuznetsov.

Kuznetsov paraded into the offensive zone against Morgan Rielly of the Leafs. Once he got below the faceoff dot, Kuznetsov moved to his backhand then shot the puck off his forehand from a tough angle.

Matt Murray was soundly beat. A goal by Tarasenko a few minutes later chased Murray from the net.
