On Saturday, defenseman Dmitry Orlov celebrated his 25th birthday in his native Russia. The Caps’ unsigned restricted free agent honored the occasion by going out to dinner with his wife Varvara and several of his friends.
Orlov even got a birthday cake. Sure the cake is tiny, but take a look at that giant candle. It resembles a rocket about to launch into outer space.

While awesome in its own right, the technology used in Orlov’s cake pales in comparison to the nuclear physics utilized to light the birthday cake Alex Ovechkin received in 2012.
Happy Birthday, Orly!
