Hi, Rachel.
The Washington Capitals will be putting individual single game tickets up for sale the morning after Fanfest – this Thursday at 10am – on Ticketmaster.
Notable games this upcoming season include the Home Opener Saturday, October 15 against the New York Islanders and literally every game against the Penguins (where you should defintely wear this under your Caps jersey). Boo them loudly.
Here is where I probably should talk about how good the team is and how fun watching hockey live is, but judging from the fact you’re getting this information from our website, I think you already know that.
More from the Caps:
Washington Capitals single-game tickets for the 2016-17 season will go on sale Thursday, June 30, at 10 a.m. at 1-800-745-3000, on WashingtonCaps.com, at Kettler Capitals Iceplex and at all local Ticketmaster outlets, including the Verizon Center box office.
The Washington Capitals will open the season against the Pittsburgh Penguins at CONSOL Energy Center on Thursday, Oct. 13, with the first home game of the campaign set for Saturday, Oct. 15, against the New York Islanders at 7 p.m. at Verizon Center.
Washington has seven homestands of at least three games on the schedule, the longest being a five-game stretch at Verizon Center from Nov. 16-25. Nearly half of the Capitals’ 41 home games at Verizon Center fall on weekends, which includes five games on Friday, seven on Saturday and six on Sunday. The schedule features holiday home games on Election Day (Nov. 8 vs. San Jose), the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 25 vs. Buffalo), New Year’s Day (Jan. 1 vs. Ottawa) and Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 5 vs. Los Angeles).
Verizon Center has been sold out for 316 consecutive Capitals games (including playoffs) and, for the sixth straight season, the Capitals sold out every home game in 2015-16.
Washington Capitals fans are encouraged to make their ticket purchases directly from the team. Only tickets purchased through the team are guaranteed to be valid. Fans can purchase their tickets through any Ticketmaster sales channel listed above and also through NHL Ticket Exchange. NHL Ticket Exchange is the only guaranteed secondary ticket reseller, and all tickets purchased on NHL Ticket Exchange are verified by Ticketmaster.
