Tonight, the curtain drops in Pittsburgh for Game Three. The series is tied at 1-1, and it’s evident that the Capitals must play the hockey. After getting dominated by the Pens in Game Two, the Caps hope to bounce back in essentially every aspect of their play. (Except for you, Braden Holtby. We heart you forever.)
Puck drop is at 8 PM from Consol Energy Center, whose namesake’s stock is finally trading up. NBCSN with da coverage.

Winnik – Beagle – Wilson
Alzner – Niskanen
Schmidt – Carlson
Orlov – Chorney

What’s Ailing the Caps?

Pat was on the PDOcast and talked to Dimitri about Bruce Boudreau, Caps/Pens, and served up some takes on Tom Wilson. Plus he was at a Pearl Jam concert last night, so woop de doo for Pat.
Storylines
- Barry Trotz and Brooks Orpik on the latter’s suspension.
- In Orpik’s place will be Dmitry Orlov, who was scratched in Game Two.
- Tom Wilson takes on Mike Milbury‘s hot takes.
- Power vs Power has been a draw so far.
- Nick Bonino is running house, and other observations from the other side

Ian, who is clearly in full troll mode, has published some new designs in the RMNB T-Shirt Store. The clear favorite so far has been the above design, uh, honoring Pierre McGuire.
I’m sorry let me re-write this sentence in Pierre speak.
Look at those clutch designs Ian Douglas Oland, who did his amazing junior blogging at prestigious Ballenger Creek Middle, put out there. His hockey smarts are through the roof, Eddie.
