Round 1, Game 3 Live Blog: Caps at Flyers

The Caps are in Philadelphia for Game Three. After taking a 2-0 series lead at home, the team now has the opportunity to basically put this series out of reach for the Flyers. Only 4 teams in NHL history have ever come from behind and won a series after going down 3 games to none, one being the 2010 Philadelphia Flyers that eventually reached the Stanley Cup Finals.

Tonight we’ll see if Steve Mason can recover from the laser beam that Jason Chimera put past him in Game Two and if the Flyers have learned that Alex Ovechkin is best not left alone.

First Period

CFTC: Middle of that period was fine. Opening minute and final 2 minutes were not. This game just has bad news written all over it. 1-1 after 1.

Second Period

That’s not very nice…

Brooks Orpik takes a dirty hit from Ryan White and is likely done for the night.

CFTC: We aren’t playing well. Special teams and Braden Holtby are still pulling us through. 2-1 Caps after 2.

Third Period

Kuzy takes that fantastic bounce and tucks it home to make it 3-1 Caps.

John Carlson makes it 4-1 Caps on the PP. Rollin’.

Yep.

The Flyers and their fans have been a joke tonight. Not even going to highlight the goonery. Not worth it. Orlov is ok.

Ovechkin bombs away to make it 5-1.

Jay Beagle makes it 6-1 very late.

CFTC: We didn’t even play well 5v5. The Flyers just suck.

Final Score: 6-1 Caps.
