Hi, I’m Ian Oland. I’m the driver of this here Caps bandwagon. The horses are getting tired, as they’ve galloped a long way this week, but we’ve got several more fine humans we need to pick up.
First, and most important of all, we’ve got to go pick up actor Alan Thicke, star of the 80s sitcom Growing Pains. Mr. Seaver filled out one of them fancy NHL.com brackets and he picked our very favorite hockey team to dispose of the Los Angeles Kings in the Stanley Cup Finals. He dedicated his bracket to Ed Snider. Then picked the Capitals to roll through the Flyers in the first round. That’s a man who has much salt in his mouth.
@russianmachine True story: When Ovechkin met Gretzky for dinner, Alan and Robin Thicke came over and said hello in the middle.

Oh, what’s that? I hear someone in the back of the cab who’s been here a while and wants to speak. What say you, close friend of Brooks Laich and star of Masters of Sex, Teddy Sears? Oh, you filled out a bracket too? And you’re hoping the Caps “Win It For Brooksie?” Yes, that’s beautiful.
Theodore, I’m guessing you’re so highly-educated in hockey matters because you follow those fine fellows at @RussianMachine on The Twitters.
Now, finally, we must travel to Canada to pick up Mr. Taylor Kitsch. Kitsch is best known for his role as Tim Riggins in the NBC series Friday Night Lights, Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Lieutenant Alex Hopper in Battleship. He filled out a bracket for NHL.com and he also picked our boys in red.
What an eclectic crew we’ve got here.
To summarize, these fine entertainment stars join Scott Stevens, Mike Rupp, Neil Smith, Mike Johnson, Dave Reid, Elliotte Friedman, Nick Kypreos, Doug MacLean, Mike Modano, Roddy White, Alex Trebek, Larry King, All Hockey Oddsmakers, EA Sports’ NHL 16, and this number eight branded Utz potato chip my mother gave me.
Russian Machine Never Breaks is not associated with the Washington Capitals; Monumental Sports, the NHL, or its properties. Not even a little bit.
