Alex Ovechkin has hit the 50 goal mark. Again.
With an even strength one-timer from his office, Alex Ovechkin has hit the 50 goal mark for the seventh time in his career, giving himself a hat trick on the night and his Capitals a 5-1 lead.
Wow.
Nicklas Backstrom led a 3-on-1 rush into the St. Louis zone and fed Alex a perfect pass, who slammed home his third of the night as TJ Oshie drove the net. The Caps first line at its best.

The Great One and Mike Bossy. Now that is some impressive company and both of those guys played in eras with significantly more goal-scoring.
This Ovechkin guy is pretty cool, huh?
