As some of you know, I’ve been studying as a film major over the last three years. My university days are flying fast, and it’s time to focus on my senior thesis. I plan to make a documentary following the excitement and uniqueness of Caps fan culture, particularly during the playoffs. But here’s that catch, I need some fans to follow!
This is my call to all you crazy die-hard Caps fans out there, I want to find three to four fans to keep up with during the Caps 2016 playoff run. Whether you go to the games, official viewing parties, or stay at home and cheer from your couch, I want to find the most fun, creative, and unique fans out there! If you’re interested in participating and seeing your face on the big screen, please let me know in the comments below or shoot me an email. With the #RMNB9: O RLY? viewing party this Saturday, it’s a perfect opportunity for us to meet up, share stories, and work out the details. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.
Thank you to my RMNB fam for letting me reach out to this fabulous community of fans! I’m excited to meet and work with you all!
UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who responded to this call for fans! I’ve narrowed down my selections, and I’m excited to get started on this project.
Even if I don’t get to follow you personally this playoff season, there’s still a way you can participate!
Using whatever filming device you have, film yourself and/or your fellow fans answering the following:
1. Your name?
2. Where are you from?
3. What does hockey and the Caps mean to you?
I’d love to see your experiences throughout the playoffs. It can be through photos or video, anything will work, just try to capture your spirit and excitement for the Caps and their journey ahead.
Before you submit, please put everything in a folder that includes a document or pdf with your contact information so I can get in touch with you if need be.
You can upload the folder to my dropbox file request. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or tweet at me. Thanks again, and have fun!
