The Washington Capitals came home after a weekend on the road to face the New York Islanders on Tuesday. As one of the last three home games before the end of the regular season, the final score was not what the Caps hopeful expected after gaining a 3-1 lead midway through the third period. Even with an unfortunate overtime loss, fans at Verizon Center at least got to experience a little bit of everything in the game. The Caps notched a few goals with sirens blaring, and Michael Latta put on a show in his fist fight with Scott Mayfield early in the game.
It was a fun one to see, excluding those final minutes, but it was also a great night for photography. This will be my last regular season game photographing the Caps this year, so I hope these snaps will hold you over for a while.
