Tom Wilson is a man who loves to chirp. At the end of the first period, Wilson, skating approximately 100 MPH, approached a scrum that was dying down. Except Wilson didn’t make his final destination because linesman Trent Knorr was having none of it.
Watch as Knorr bearhugs Wilson from behind like he’s trying to pose for a prom picture with his date. He even lifts Wilson up off the ice. As Wilson finally approaches the melee, Knorr grabs Wilson’s pants and refuses to let go.
This is a dedication to refereeing (or linesmaning) I have never seen before. I applaud this man.
Later, Wilson’s weird night continued as he and the Ducks’ Nick Ritchie could not figure out if they wanted to fight or not. Hockey best.
