Tonight, the Caps go head-to-head with the Stars in what promises to be a gnarly hockey game. The Caps are merely aiming to pad their 17-point Metro lead (yawn), while the Stars are hoping to edge the Blackhawks for first in the Central. Both teams are offensive juggernauts and among the NHL’s best, if not the best.

Valentine’s Day is looming and the Caps are riding a five-game win streak, so cuddle your cat and/or break out the bubbly. The game is at 8, and it’s on CSN.

    Storylines

    • Despite some atrocious referee-ing (or lack thereof), Kuzy is expected to suit up.
    • The same can’t be said of Brooks Orpik–and maybe Mike Richards.
    • Watching the Caps in the playoffs may have taken years off your life, but prepare to check out of the Heartbreak Hotel.
    • Lil Wayne thought kongratulations were in order after Ovi’s hatty.
    • The Vezina race may have gotten a bit more crowded.
    • On the flip side, Patrick Eaves also notched a hat trick and is an important part of Dallas’ booming offense.

    Love Song Things

It’s the most wonderful (or hateful, depending on who you ask) time of year. Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Enter Postmodern Jukebox, a wickedly talented group who reimagines today’s hits as yesterday’s pop songs. Here’s their jazzed-up version of “Lovefool.”
