Fam, the last time we posted Bodog’s NHL odds, the Washington Capitals were a Stanley Cup, Eastern Conference, and Metropolitan Division favorite.

Since then, the Capitals have played even better. So let’s check in on the updated odds.

First, let’s take a look at the Metropolitan Division odds, where in real life, the Caps have a 15-point lead over the New York Rangers with two games in hand. In December, the Caps had 3/2 odds along with the Rags.

Oh my.

So the Caps are so good they essentially broke this category. Sounds good to me!

Next up is the Eastern Conference, where the Caps hold a 11-point lead over Florida with two games in hand. The Caps’ odds had been 13/4. It’s improved.

Finally, the Caps are still the odds-on choice to win the Stanley Cup. They had 13/2 odds previously.

Now let’s chat about the individual hardware given out at the end of the year. Braden Holtby has shot up the board and is now the second odds-on favorite to be NHL MVP at 3/1.

Meanwhile Alex Ovechkin is now the favorite to win the Rocket Richard trophy with 10/11 odds.

I said it then and I’ll say it now: what a time to be alive.
