The Capitals hosted the Montreal Canadiens on Boxing Day, battling another top Eastern Conference rival to extend their winning streak to seven. The third line was rolling all night with Jay Beagle and Jason Chimera notching goals and Tom Wilson assisting on both. Our beloved Nate Schmidt added some helpers on the first and third goals. It was great to see the versatility of the team; the star players don’t have to shine every night to get it done for the Caps.
After hearing about the Sabres scoring five goals in the third to win 6-3 over Boston, I cannot be more excited for Monday’s matchup. It’s on Caps! LET’S GO BUFFALO!
