The Capitals joined the Wizards and Mystics for MSE Foundation’s annual Family-to Family gift delivery in the local DC area on Tuesday. Coach Trotz, Nicklas Backstrom, Marcus Johansson, and Andre Burakovsky represented the team on the journey to spread holiday cheer. Trott also brought his son Nolan along to partake in the festivities.
You can imagine the excitement of these kids when one moment they’re sitting in their living room, and the next they have an entire party of professional athletes and media fill up every corner! We were just outside the first apartment, about to go up the stairs, and laughed when we heard the screams of joy above.
I collected some photos and put together a short video of the fun the players had surprising these families today.
