The Capitals came from three goals down to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-3 and go into first place in the league standings. TJ Oshie and Alex Ovechkin each had four point nights, with Oshie’s assist to Ovechkin and Ovechkin’s 16th goal of the season amongst the highlights. Nicklas Backstrom’s also reached 600 NHL points with his assist on Oshie’s empty net goal.
