On Thursday, the Washington Capitals held their annual season ticket holder party at Six Flags America. Many amazing things happened, such as TJ Oshie meeting TJ Yoshie for the first time.
Here’s another wild story.
Caps fan J.R. Ebling is a first-time STH this year. He wanted to celebrate the occasion with something, uh, permanent.
“I’ve just been a huge Ovi fan since he came into the league,” Ebling said via email. “I think he is the greatest goal scorer of all time. Since this is my first year full-time at Verizon Center, I wanted a good way to commemorate that.”
So he got in Alex Ovechkin’s autograph line and asked the Russian machine to sign the inside of his wrist.
“I told Ovi I was going to get it tattooed and he looked up and said,’Really? Hahaha ok!'”
Ovi then smiled his gap-tooth smile and carefully autographed Ebling’s body.
“It was gr8,” Ebling said, when I asked him to describe the experience.
But he was not done.
Ebling then drove to Kent Liberty Tattoo in Stevensville, Maryland and had tattoo artist Sean Parker trace it.
This is so cool and should definitely have lasting power unlike this.
Thanks for last night! Marked for life. @washcaps @MonumentalNtwrk @ovi8 @russianmachine pic.twitter.com/zIfDK28AWy
