Reader Fred E was apparently at Wednesday’s preseason game in Raleigh, and he’s got compelling video to prove it. The Capitals lost 4-3 to the Hurricanes, but in the effort they showed off more shootout skills from summer supplement TJ Oshie.
Oshie, as you may already know, is jokes.
Oshie attacked like a snake or something. He casually swooped wide before quickening his pace once he passed the faceoff dot. There he switched forehand to backhand, then back to his forehand, at which point Carolina goalie Eddie Lack seemed to just give up. Lay-up goal and the crowd goes wild.
Here’s a closer look.
Michael Latta and Stan Galiev also scored in the outing. Alex Ovechkin did too, but you knew that already.
