There are just ten games left in the regular season, and tonight we kick off that final stretch in style at #RMNBPartyGr8. As the Jets prepare to host our Capitals at 7 PM, you, me, and a bunch of other fans will meet at RFD in Chinatown for what should be a fun night.
Part starts at 6. Puck drops at 7. The game will be on the wall.
| Team | Record | Possession | PDO | Power Play | Penalty Kill |
| Washington Capitals | 39-23-10 | 51.9% | 100.2 | 25.2% | 80.9% |
| Winnipeg Jets | 36-23-12 | 53.3% | 99.9 | 18.4% | 81.4% |
Projected Lineup
No morning skate today, so here’s an educated guess based on yesterday, which might be the lines tonight as well.
Ovechkin – Backstrom – Johansson
Glencross – Kuznetsov – Brouwer
Chimera – Fehr – Ward
Laich – Latta – Wilson
Orpik – Carlson
Alzner – Niskanen
Green – Schmidt
Holtby
If The Playoffs Started Today…

…we’d by like “wtf mate? What happened to the last ten games of the season?” Also, the Caps would play the Rangers, which is no good.
Storylines
- Is it weird to anyone else that Winnipeg is sorta good now? They’re in the final, tenuous wild card spot in the west, they’ve got better 5v5 possession than the Caps, but they don’t Washington’s special teams or Ovi.
- An update on the Scenariorlov: Dmitry Orlov is finally close to a conditioning stint. FINALLY.
- Your boy Rob Vollman mentioned Mike Green and Curtis Glencross in a good article (subscription required) on players who deserve bigger roles.
- Andre Burakovsky scored an AHL goal. I’m okay with all of that except the AHL part.
- Justin Bourne compiled a list of the most “beerable” NHL coaches. Trotz got snubbed. I for one am outraged.
@jtbourne I respectfully disagree with the exclusion of Barry Trotz from the beerability list. pic.twitter.com/T0748QFSEq
