In what will end up being my favorite “Whoops, my bad” moment from today’s game, Troy Brouwer checked official Darren Gibbs into the Caps bench.
Yeah, Troy. Uhhhh, you missed Andrei Markov by like 10 feet here.
No matter. Gibbs, who was wearing no protection except for his bucket, was fine. He smiled, hopped off the bench, and immediately skated back into the play as if nothing happened. Hockey tough: even the officials.
