You may not know who goaltender Eddie Pasquale is. That’s okay. After seeing this mask, you’ll never forget him until the day you die.
On Monday afternoon, InGoal Magazine released photos of the new Caps journeyman’s bucket. It features illustrations of George Washington, Trace Adkins, and George Straight. Uh, what? They go together about as good as peanut butter and sand.
Maybe InGoal Magazine can explain it better.
Eddie Pasquale knew what he wanted when he asked Frank Cipra of Cipra Designs to put together the prospect’s latest mask for the Washington Capitals. He asked that his love of country music, his family, and favourite hobby be featured prominently on the mask. After accommodating Pasquale, Cipra took hold of the design and put together a masterpiece! This mask has everything, from George Washington to Trace Adkins, George Strait to a screeching eagle, and four leaf clovers to stars and stripes. It’s a unique design that showcases Pasquale’s personality and preferences while featuring the best of the Washington Capitals colours and logos. Though he is originally from Toronto, Pasquale has clearly acclimated well to the American lifestyle and sentiments.
Nope, they can’t. Though the screaming eagle is bad ass. See the photo below.
So who in the heck is this guy besides your new favorite wacky, minor league goaltender? On draft day, the Caps traded a pair of picks to the Winnipeg Jets to land him. Pasquale was scheduled to back-up Philipp Grubauer in Hershey, but could not recover in time from hip surgery that he had the season before.
