Seven minutes into the first period, Washington Capitals forward Tom “Big Stamos” Wilson began skating with Nicklas Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin on the first line. It took just one shift with the superstars for Wilson to score his first goal of the season, responding to an Arizona Coyotes power play tally 49 seconds earlier.

That’s Wilson’s first goal since the Adam Oates days (March 14th). It also ended a personal 16-game scoreless streak for Wilson.
Wilson added an assist on a John Carlson goal a few minutes later.
