Andre Burakovsky continues to be a god. He’s been the Washington Capitals best player by far during training camp. Heading into Thursday night, Burakovsky already had a game-winning goal and a game-winning assist. Now he’s added a highlight-reel goal.
Describing it is simple: Burakovsky took the puck from the Caps defensive zone, skated through the neutral zone solo, and scored on two Flyers defenders. The execution was maybe not so easy.
Look at that quick release. Like is that Andre Burakovsky or Alex Semin?
During the third period, Craig Laughlin called Burakovsky the “team’s best player.” Alan May said, “he’s a lethal threat every time he comes up the ice.”
Those are big words for a 19-year-old that has many thought would spend this season in Hershey.
Even head coach Barry Trotz is becoming a believer.
Trotz on Burakovsky's likely inclusion: "He's earned the right. He's gotten better every game. I don't imagine him not being here." #Caps
