On Monday, the Russian website Express Gazeta released on-set video and an interview from Katya Lel’s new music video. As you might recall, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin is co-starring in the “unusual and somewhat provocative” clip from the 40-year-old pop star, which will drop sometime in the fall.

Welp, “somewhat provocative” is right judging by these GIFs.

Ovechkin said of Katya Lel to Express Gazeta, “Aside from the fact that she is an incredibly wonderful person, she is also very hardworking and talented. I actually do play her songs.”

“As for the filming, I can say that this is my first real acting experience,” he continued. “I am fortunate that it is a music video, not a movie. It would be more difficult to grow into the character. Here my job was simple – to act like a serious man.”

Ovechkin’s entire interview with Express Gazeta is awkward, however he manages to smile the entire time. I would go into more detail, but you really need to just read this whole thing.

Tell us why – such an unexpected scenario… you in a music video…
Alex Ovechkin: It started out as a joke. [I asked] “Would you put me in you music video?” And then the joke turned into a real thing.

Is your girlfriend jealous – about you being with Katya in this video?
AO: No comment.

Is there any kissing in the video?
AO: You will see everything.

But it’s going to be awhile [before it comes out].
AO: We’ll see how everything goes.

And how does Katya’s husband feel about this?
AO: I don’t think there could possibly any jealousy here. This is a job. There shouldn’t be any jealousy, 100%.

Was it easy for you to play your character in the video?
AO: My character in the video is rather simple. Just stand there and be silent.

So you don’t do any singing?
AO: [Shakes his head]

So, do you find Katya attractive? I mean, if she didn’t have a husband, would you be able to build a relationship with her?
AO: Why do you ask such provocative questions?

What do you mean? It’s a normal question.
AO: You shouldn’t ask questions like this.

Katya’s anniversary is coming up, we are going to have a special, go ahead and give her your congratulations.
AO: Katya, I wish you, first of all, good health, success in your career, and always remain the same person you are right now.

Tell us, you are such an eligible bachelor, when are you looking to have your wedding?
AO: I need to find [the right girl] first, and then you can talk about it.

But you do have a girlfriend?
AO: No comment.

And why did you break up with the last one?
AO: No comment.

Do you have any property abroad?
AO: Do I have… what?!

AO: And where is this question coming from? Would you like to visit me?

AO: No, I am not the richest…

And how many cars do you have?
AO: Not many.
