After scoring his first goal of the season in the Champions Hockey League game, Capitals prospect Jakub Vrana found the net in a preseason game as his Linkoping beat Vasteras 5-3.

Vrana’s assist is at 0:18 mark. Micflikier’s goal is at 0:35 mark. Vrana’s goal is at 0:43 mark.

Late in the first period, Vrana made a bump pass to a former Hershey Bear Jeff Taffe on the rush and American center scored using defenseman as a screen.

In the third period, Linkoping scored the eventual game-winner on a two-man advantage. Vrana was standing in front of the Vasteros net. He wasn’t credited with an assist, but he may have tipped the puck on its way from Taffe to Jacob Micflikier.

Less than ten minutes later, Vrana scored an insurance goal. Micflikier – Taffe – Vrana created another quick rush and the center fed the puck to a young Czech in the high slot who went top shelf with a quick wrist shot.

Vasteras is an Allsvenskan team, playing a tier below Linkoping. The game was Linkoping’s third and final preseason match. They’ll play in two more Champions League games next weekend before kicking off the SHL season on Saturday, September 13th.
