Alex Ovechkin is on the ice for 94% of the Washington Capitals power play. He loves it. He can’t get enough of it.
But once the PP is over and the other team returns its naughty player to the ice, Ovechkin is soooo out of there.
That’s exactly what happened on Monday night when Ovi served the entirety of the Capitals man advantage and then some. After that, the teams got back to even strength, and — despite the Caps having solid possession in the offensive zone– Ovi could not even. He skated– full speed– to the bench, hopping over Mike Green‘s shot in the process.

Not something you see everyday.
To be fair, Ovechkin had been on the ice for 2:22 at that point, so GET OUT OF HIS WAY.
