As Wimbledon kicked off on Monday, two local tennis players showed off their love for the Caps in London.
Denis Kudla and Frances Tiafoe, both DC-area natives, did media this afternoon while wearing Stanley Cup Champion hats and District of Champions shirts.

On Friday, we published a story about Alex Ovechkin and through the wondrous powers of photo and GIF illustrated how he’s been spending most of his summer vacation: faithfully by the side of his girlfriend, tennis superstar Maria Kirilenko.
Well on Saturday, Tumblr was abuzz yet again with a set of GIFs showing some playful interaction between the two lovebirds.
After Mike Green, Alex Ovechkin, and Nicklas Backstrom scored to lead the Capitals to a 3-2 victory during Game 4 of their second round playoff series against New York, a reporter brought up the “Young Guns” nickname to Green in the locker room.
Green smirked and responded,”Young Guns? [We’re] not so young anymore.”
