Devils fans litter ice with trash after three goals called back by officials in winning-streak snapping loss

The New Jersey Devils entered home-ice action against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night winners of 13 games in a row. The Metropolitan Division leaders are one of only three teams to already eclipse the 30 standings point mark in the National Hockey League.

That pretty picture turned ugly on Wednesday though. The Devils not only had their winning streak snapped by the Leafs but also saw their fans chuck a whole slew of garbage onto the ice in response to three straight goals being overturned by officials.

The NHL Arena Bucket List: the New York City and New Jersey arenas

This past weekend I concluded my planned arena visits for the season.

I saw the Capitals vs New York Islanders at NYCB Live on March 1 and then stuck around to see the Caps play the New York Rangers on March 3.

Earlier in the season, I was also able to see the Capitals play the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center in October (but please forgive me, I wiped that horrendous game out of my memory and forgot to write my review).

Let’s discuss why you should go see some hockey in New York.
