Alex Ovechkin creates painting with junior sledge-hockey players to raise money for Russian para hockey league
Alex Ovechkin traded in his hockey stick for a paintbrush on Thursday. The Russian machine made a painting with two kids from the Children’s Sledge Hockey League, Viktoria Zamataeva from the “Soviet Wings” and Nikita Fomenko from “Tropic”, to help raise money for the organization.
“The first stage of our creative project Hockey The World Of Bright Colors is over!” the league wrote on its Facebook page. “Another masterpiece was created with Alexander Ovechkin🏒 A lucky chance to paint with the famous hockey player got Viktoria Zamataeva from “Soviet Wings” and Nikita Fomenko from “Tropic”💝 Ovi not only wished the sledge-hockey players good luck, but also [inspired] them with his inexhaustible energy☀ The exhibition will be organized in August in Moscow and later the paintings will be sold at the auction. All proceeds will be used for the development of the Junior sledge-hockey in Russia!🏆”
