Washington Nationals’ ace Max Scherzer was named the National League’s starting pitcher for Tuesday’s All-Star Game.
The 36-year-old Scherzer is now just the sixth pitcher in MLB history to start four different All-Star games.
A little over a month after the Stanley Cup Final ended, another big sporting event is on its way to DC.
Early next week, the Nationals will play host to the MLB All-Star Game. This is the fifth time the All-Star game will be hosted in the Nation’s Capital, but the first time since 1969 when the Senators hosted.
The city is going all out to promote baseball, including an awesome exhibit on Pennsylvania Avenue.
