Canada’s Ambassador wears Capitals jersey after losing Stadium Series bet with Governor Larry Hogan
There’s nothing quite like a friendly bet to make a hockey game more interesting. David MacNaughton, Canada’s Ambassador to the United States, made a wager with Larry Hogan, Governor of Maryland, over the outcome of the Stadium Series game.
When the Capitals came out triumphant over the Toronto Maple Leafs, so too did Governor Hogan. On Friday, MacNaughton paid up on that bet, donning a Capitals jersey for a full day of meetings at the Canadian Embassy.
