After suffering his fifth concussion at the hands of Josh Morrissey and missing over 10 games, TJ Oshie is finally back in the lineup.
After Tuesday’s morning skate, Oshie addressed the media on how he has come back from concussions in the past.

Czech defenseman Michael Kempny was concussed after being elbowed in the head by the Blues’ Robert Bortuzzo in a preseason game.
When Kempny left the ice after the hit, he was smiling, but he doesn’t remember why. Kempny spoke about his concussion with reporters on Tuesday in anticipation of a return against Vegas Wednesday night.

Penguins forward Sidney Crosby has been diagnosed with a concussion, Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan told reporters Tuesday afternoon.
This is bad news for the game of hockey. It doesn’t matter who you root for.

On February 22nd, TJ Oshie scored a goal and tallied an assist against the Philadelphia Flyers. Oshie also suffered what Barry Trotz termed an upper-body injury which caused the talented Caps forward to miss four games over a period of ten days. The injury was a bit of a mystery.
During an interview with reporters, Trotz said the injury was unrelated to the previous shoulder injuries Oshie suffered earlier in the season.
Saturday night, Williams revealed the injury was a concussion.

Less than twenty minutes into the contest between the Washington Capitals and the Florida Panthers, the Caps’ big trade deadline acquisition, veteran winger Martin Erat, went awkwardly into the boards courtesy of a reckless shove by hulking young defenseman Eric Gudbranson. A few anxious seconds later, Caps fans were holding their breath as Marty was helped off the ice by his teammates, clearly favoring his right leg. Later on, the team referred to it as a “lower body injury.” Nothing to be happy about, of course, but it could have been so much worse, especially given Erat’s extensive concussion history.
“Wait! What concussion history?,” you may ask, and rightfully so. After all, Marty has been an NHLer for over a decade, and in all that time the Nashville Predators (his team since his debut in 2003) released exactly zero statements mentioning Martin Erat having a concussion. The ubiquitous “upper body injury” appears numerous times, but never a concussion. In fact, a Google search for “Martin Erat concussion” yields references to just one suspected case – an injury Erat suffered during the last World Championship. So, no worries then, right?
But what if someone actually asked Marty? Because someone did.
