The Capitals announced on Tuesday morning that their next blood drive will be held on March 28 from 7AM to 5PM at MedStar Capitals Iceplex.
Fans who donate will receive a t-shirt and a bobblehead of Capitals defenseman John Carlson.

Every year, the Capitals host a series of blood drives as a way for fans to help others in the community. The Capitals’ partner for these blood drives, INOVA Blood Donor Services, is hosting a special Caps-themed blood drive event at two of it’s locations on Wednesday, July 17.
Caps fans who visit INOVA’s donation centers in Dulles from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m and Woodburn from 6 a.m. – 4 p.m. will receive a Caps rally towel and their choice of bobblehead OR t-shirt, while supplies last. The players whose bobbleheads are available were not listed on the notice. Fans who donate will also be entered into a drawing for a Capitals backpack.

Fans who donate will receive a t-shirt and a bobblehead of Capitals forward Brett Connolly.
No word on if the bobblehead will also be eating pizza.

Monday afternoon, the Capitals released the details of their next blood drive. The drive will take place on July 14, from 7am-5pm at Kettler Capitals Iceplex.

Several times a year, the Capitals team up with Inova Blood Donor Services to host a blood drive at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. One of the biggest draws to the drive is a reward donors receive: a bobblehead. Usually, it’s one of the Caps’ players. But for the upcoming March 31 blood drive, the Caps have gone in a slightly different direction.

RMNB’s been busy working on a special project, so we missed the Inova Blood Drive at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. Every few months, Inova holds a blood drive at the Caps practice rink and gives away bobbleheads and shirseys of certain Caps players. This past Saturday it was Joel Ward.
Unfortunately, the Wardo bobble heads got stuck in customs, but donators wound up getting a more special gift: meeting The Big Cheese himself. Ward signed autographs, took photos, and complimented people on their t-shirts.
And, of course, he donated blood.
