The South Carolina Stingrays, the Washington Capitals’ ECHL affiliate, are holding Star Wars Night on Saturday, February 22, against the Atlanta Gladiators.
Not only will the first 2,000 fans receive light swords at North Charleston Coliseum, but the Stingrays will also be going to the dark side, wearing Star Wars inspired specialty jerseys out on the ice.
The black and white jerseys emulate the look and feel of a stormtrooper while the Imperial crest is placed on the shoulders. “The force is strong with this one!” the Stingrays said on social media.
The team is also allowing fans to purchase the specialty jerseys online. The sweaters are fully sublimated with an embroidered front patch.
