The entire Capitals team gave TJ Oshie pregame butt slashes before his 1,000th NHL game

TJ Oshie and Tom Wilson‘s NHL-best pregame ritual had a new, hilarious twist on Saturday night.

Normally before every game they play in, Oshie and Wilson engage in some interesting warmup stickwork. Oshie will usually first poke Wilson in the rear with his stick blade and then set up to take a full slash in the pants from Wilson.

In honor of Oshie’s 1,000th career game, the entire Capitals’ roster got in on the action. No longer were the hijinks just a two-man operation.

At first, Oshie tried to escape after just getting his smack from Wilson. Nic Dowd and others then yelled at him to get back into position. He obliged.

Starting with captain Alex Ovechkin and alternate captain John Carlson, the rest of the Capitals made sure to get their shots in.

Here’s another angle because you definitely need a full 360-view of this.

Oshie’s participation in warmups was definitely a pleasant sight for the team. The 37-year-old winger left Saturday’s morning skate and was labeled a game-time decision with an upper-body injury.

Oshie did end up dressing for puck drop and skated on the team’s first line with Alex Ovechkin and Connor McMichael.
