Sergei Ovechkin laughing at dad’s slap shots and Blake’s defense will make your day

The Washington Capitals had the day off on Tuesday, but that didn’t mean Alex Ovechkin took a break from his favorite sport.

Ovi took Ovi Jr outside to play some street hockey out on his driveway and the two had an absolute blast.

Dad, using his son’s tiny stick, displayed how to properly take slap shots while his son held onto his papa’s oversized twig. Sergei giggled with glee as dad ripped clappers into the net.

First, Sergei (a lefty!) tries to do a slap shot himself. After struggling to push the puck forward on his backhand, Dad has a demonstration on how to properly shoot. As dad rips shots towards the net, Sergei begins laughing uncontrollably as the family’s dog Blake runs onto the driveway to participate himself.

Oh my god. That laugh!

Eventually, Blake ambled up to play defense. Quite well, might I add.

Sign Blake up, Mac. He can’t be any worse than what we’ve got out there on the blue line right now.
