Through two periods of play, the New York Islanders’ fourth line has scored twice, buoying them to a commanding 4-1 lead at intermission.
Devon Toews was the latest fourth-liner to score, finding the back of the twine after his one-timer clanged off the post and in.
But it’s what happened next which drew the ire of Caps fans.

We see you Toews… and we don't like what we see. #CapsIsles pic.twitter.com/o3h2fizDiK

Sorry other Toews. You just don't have that big bird energy. https://t.co/GeCGmWOPdJ

Kuzy have more points in that cup run than Toews has in his career?

This is the second time a team has taunted the Capitals with the bird celly. In 2019, the Blue Jackets did the bird celly as a team after beating the Capitals in overtime.
Update: The Washington Capitals scored five unanswered goals in the third period to come back and beat the New York Islanders 6-4. Alex Ovechkin tallied a hat trick.
This is why you don't taunt the Capitals, @DevonToews6.
