The Washington Capitals were away from MedStar Capitals Iceplex for a whopping eight days during their recent four-game west coast road trip.
This apparently was eight days too long for the Capitals puppy, Captain, who immediately expressed his happiness upon seeing Jakub Vrana’s face during practice.
The player and dog shared kisses on the bench. This is a very good photo.
Captain took the road trip ruff. On Twitter, he openly expressed his sadness by howling on social media.
sumtimes when the team is gone , i like to come on the ice and pretend they are here with meee pic.twitter.com/F5i6lEThke

But Captain tried to keep himself busy and keep his mind off his Capitals keepers. He tried some new sports and costumes.
