Viral video shows Carey Price making fan’s dream come true after mother passes away

After so much professional success and kindness, Carey Price has become an idol to many young Montreal Canadiens fans and recently he authored a very emotional moment with a fan who recently lost his mother to cancer.

In a video originally posted to Facebook, a young fan named Anderson breaks down in tears while meeting Carey Price. Anderson’s mother promised him that she would do everything she could so he could meet Price someday but died before she could make it happen.

In the video, Price is seen talking to Anderson and handing him his goalie stick used during practice. Through tears, Anderson asked him to sign it and that’s when Price did the most loving thing one could do in this moment. After taking off his gloves and helmet, Price walks to an opening in the railing and signals for Anderson to come give him a hug.

Price ended up signing Anderson’s jersey, mini-stick, and gifted him with two signed sticks of his own.

Video of the viral moment was posted by Anderson’s Aunt, who wrote this on Facebook.

I wanted to share this video of my nephew Anderson, meeting his idol, Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens. Last year as Anderson’s mom was dying of cancer she promised she would do everything she could to make his dream come true. Unfortunately, she passed away before that could happen but through some very kind and generous friends we were able to arrange a visit to the morning skate. As you can see in the video, Carey Price was a class act not only giving Anderson two signed sticks, a signed puck, signing his jersey and mini stick but he also gave him the biggest hug. Words cannot describe how much this meant to Anderson and we are forever grateful to this wonderful man.

There is no doubt Anderson will remember this moment forever. As will we.
