Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby arrived in Las Vegas today to prepare for the NHL Awards where he is the odds-on favorite to win the Vezina Trophy. Holtby spent the afternoon doing a marketing event red carpet prep, visiting John Vavartos to pick out the suit he will wear during one of the biggest moments of his career.

Holtby is no stranger to the fashion scene. In 2014, he and former Capital Mike Green were featured in Washingtonian magazine as models.

Designer John Vavartos is a long-time partner of the NHL. This marks the sixth year Varvatos showcased its new collections at the NHL Awards.

Here’s more via Cynopsis Media:

American menswear designer John Varvatos is again working with the NHL for the 2016 NHL Awards. Varvatos created bespoke styles for a select list of players, who are finalists for awards, including Ben Bishop (Tampa Bay Lightning Goaltender), Mark Giordano (Calgary Flames Defenseman), Braden Holtby (Washington Capitals Goaltender), Matt Martin (New York Islanders Forward).

You’ll be able to see the winning outfit Wednesday night. Here’s hoping that’s not the only winner Braden takes home from Vegas.
