Mitch Korn’s ingenious goalie drill to simulate deflections

The Washington Capitals tweeted video from practice Tuesday morning of an ingenious Mitch Korn goalie drill.

To simulate a deflected shot, Korn positioned what appears to be a custom-made ramp a few feet away from the crease and had one of the Caps players shoot at it.

It’s a great simulation of game action. The puck ramps high into the air, forcing the Caps goaltenders to readjust in a split second.

The Capitals later deleted the tweet after practice.
