On his 22nd birthday, Andre Burakovsky got the very worst present of all: a broken hand. After the Burracuda went down to one knee to block a Brendan Smith shot from the point, he was struck in the right hand by the puck.
Since then Yung Dre has been sidelined from NHL action. On Saturday while his teammates were in Detroit, Burakovsky appears to have reamined home at his apartment, missing his second-straight game.
“I'm already missing the game,” Burakovsky wrote on Instagram. “Good luck today boys🏒”
Burakovsky also posted a photo from his couch while watching the game on TV. He included a message of “Let’s go Boys !!!” over the photo.

During the Caps 3-2 shootout loss, Burakovsky’s replacement, Zach Sanford, scored a goal in his second-straight game.
Meanwhile, Burakovsky is targeting a mid-March return to game action. On Friday, he was spotted by CSN cameras skating in a sweat suit before practice with a white cast on his right hand.
Stay patient, Yung Dre. We promise, you’ll be back in the lineup soon enough.
