Nate Schmidt dressed up as both Santa Claus and an elf for Christmas

On Christmas Day, the Vegas Golden Knights wished their fans a Happy Haula-Days by releasing a video featuring Nate Schmidt as Schmidty the Elf. The former Capital dispenses joke gifts to all of his new teammates.

The video is quintessential Schmidt: Nate’s joy for life is on full display.

My favorite part is when “Santa” (Erik Haula) arrives. The whole video is cheesy, punny, and just the right amount of dumb. I loved every second of it.

Meanwhile, thanks to Golden Knights forward William Karlsson, we also know that Schmidt dressed up as Santa himself. Karlsson posted a photo sitting on Nate’s lap.

When I got the chance to meet Santa I asked him who his favourite VGK player was. He said #88 Nate Schmidt, I wonder why 🤔🎅🏼
