Saturday night at Air Canada Centre, the Toronto Maple Leafs played the recently-eliminated Detroit Red Wings in an Eastern Conference showdown.
The Leafs won 4-3, but I want to point you to the first period fight between lightweights Zach Hyman and Darren Helm.

The bout was mostly a hug fest and unremarkable. What was remarkable was that Hyman’s mom and dad were in the stands and their reactions were captured on film during the bout.
“What? A fight?” Hyman’s mom, initially confused, appears to be seen saying.
A few seconds later, a different side came out. “GET HIM, ZACH. GET HIM!”

The fight was Hyman’s third career NHL fight and Helm’s first.
While it’s a debate who won the scrap, I think we can all agree Hyman has the best mom in the NHL.
