It only took two games for Tom Wilson to get onto the scoresheet for Team Canada.

Wilson notched his first career Olympic point against Switzerland on Friday, recording a secondary assist on a first-period goal by defenseman Thomas Harley.

After Connor McDavid skated the puck up the ice and into neutral, he sent a pass into space in the offensive zone. Wilson hustled to retrieve the loose puck bouncing off the sideboards and sent a backpass to McDavid, who curled behind him. The Edmonton Oilers captain and Team Canada alternate then found Harley, jumping into the play, who beat Swiss goaltender Akira Schmid five-hole from the left circle.

The goal gave Canada a 2-0 lead 10:54 into the first period.

Wilson’s first Olympic point comes as he’s playing for Canada’s senior team for the first time in his career.

Capitals teammate Logan Thompson received his first career start for Canada in the game.
