The Washington Capitals wrap up their preseason schedule with a home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.
Alex Ovechkin is in the team’s lineup for a second straight game, while most of the team’s key veterans will receive a final chance to get game reps before the regular season begins.
The dress rehearsal of sorts will give Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery a final look at some of the players on the fringe of the roster, namely Hendrix Lapierre, Ivan Miroshnichenko, Dylan McIlrath, and Declan Chisholm before concrete decisions are made. The team’s Opening Night roster is due on Monday at 5 pm.
Monumental Sports Network will televise the contest. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 pm.
