The Washington Capitals have made three more cuts to their training camp roster.
After cutting eight players this past weekend, the team’s roster at camp has now been reduced to 39 players.
All three cuts made Tuesday morning will see prospects either sent directly to the AHL’s Hershey Bears or returned to their junior teams.

Parascak, Thomas, and Allen all made their preseason debuts against the New Jersey Devils on Sunday afternoon. The latter two prospects, drafted in the 2023 NHL Draft, are set for their first professional seasons after graduating from the OHL’s Brantford Bulldogs and London Knights, respectively.
The 19-year-old Parascak must be returned to the WHL as the NHL-CHL transfer agreement remains intact for at least one more year. The agreement requires an NHL team to return a drafted CHL prospect to their junior team if the player is not on the NHL’s active roster at the start of the season, provided they are under 20 years old and haven’t played four full junior seasons.
In the recently renewed CBA, set to officially kick in next season, a provision will allow NHL teams to send one 19-year-old CHL player to the AHL per season.
The Capitals are headed to Columbus on Tuesday night to play their fourth preseason game against the Blue Jackets. The club will then play two more preseason games, both at Capital One Arena, culminating with an October 4 rematch against the Blue Jackets.
NHL teams must set their 23-man opening-day rosters by 5 pm ET on October 6. The Capitals open their regular season at home against the Boston Bruins on October 8.
