The Washington Capitals traveled to Columbus on Tuesday night for their final road preseason game of the fall.
Against the Blue Jackets, head coach Spencer Carbery is giving many of the players fighting for one of the final roster spots another chance to impress him. Key veterans like Tom Wilson and John Carlson will also be making their preseason debuts.
Captain Alex Ovechkin will not dress for a fourth straight contest, although he was a full participant in the team’s skate at MedStar Capitals Iceplex again. The club is hopeful he will make his return to game action against the Boston Bruins on Thursday.
Monumental Sports Network will televise the contest. Puck drop at Nationwide Arena is scheduled for 7 pm.
