Ah, yes, the NHL says the Capitals added no notable players.

Now, I’m not saying defenseman Declan Chisholm and forward Justin Sourdif are parade-planning acquisitions, but they were indeed additions, and they are in similar notability as Isac Lundestrom and Taylor Raddysh. You could even add Ryan Leonard here, too, who is entering his first full rookie season in the NHL.

Hopefully, someone with the Capitals who has access to a printer notices this graphic on X and puts it up inside the locker room. Despite shocking everyone and finishing first in the Eastern Conference last season, the Capitals still can’t get no danged respect, and it’s at your own peril to do so.
